Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi, I hope this is the right forum that i am posting to!

I am looking for a package to help plan proposed developements. Basically, the package should be built on a GIS platform. So, if the transportation division is building a road through the area, the community services division is building a school in the area and other divisions are doing similar upgrades then, we would like to know , how all of these upgrades affects the area in question and what impact each upgrade will have on eachother. This should then help us determine whether the proposed additions could be better suited if it was place in a different location.

So in a nutshell, we need to see how everything fits together and we need to see it graphically.

Thanks
Irfaan

Hi Irfaan,

A lot of what you are asking for is in place, and has been for a long time. It is an interesting subject. Will contact you.

I don’t think an off-shelf software product available in market to fit your requirement. However, silimiar product not with GIS is found.
You may need a solution provider to work out the solution, a platform with database and GIS.
