Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Did any one having or Monitoring the Performance of contractors?. How they are measure the rating & what is the factors/basic to measure. Please Explore your idea.

In line with same the performance of contractors is like Appraisal of the contractors, can be organised under the standard headings like:

1)Knowledge of Job:Good,Better,etc.
2)Staff Competancy:Supervisors,etc.
3)Time:As per agreed schedule etc.
4)Quality:Any deviations etc.
5)Safety:Any Accidents, Lapses etc.
6)GMP:Any lapses etc
7)Qutations/Bills: Submitted in time etc,
8)Rates: Any discripancy etc.
9)Statutory: All the dues paid in time etc,

this can form the main headings & one can insert project specific sub-activities to same.

Then comes rating against each sub-headings like A,B,C,
and the ratings are each can also be specific to the company.

This entire thing is converted into a Tabular report card.

There are two principle aspects to monitor the Performance of Contractor. The first "entails regular reviews of progress" and the second "entails looking at whether the Contractor is achieving predetermined milestones effectively."

In addition to above others factors are Quality of Work as per given Specification and Additional Works and Variations performed by the Contractor.

Hi,

As part of ISO system we have to measure the performance of contractors with regads to the appopriateness of their work. Some of the fields that are meaured are -How the dealt with the orignal specification, how they dealt woth changes in scope, how they worked towards the programme provided and the standard of work.

Hope this give you some idea.
