Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Has anybody experience of using the SAP Planning Board for producing project schedules? If so, I would appreciate your views on its functionality and capability. I am particularly interested if the SAP Planning board functionality is in any way comparable to a common propriety planning tool.

Hi Jared

Welcome to planning planet.

It is not a good idea to respond to a thread that is 7 years old.

Better to start a new thread with your comments.

Best regards

The SAP project module is not P3. And P3 is not SAP. The are good at different things.
It seems best to use SAP as your economical tool and P3 as your planning tool. (or any other planning tool, which supports your planning needs)
Itis possible to link information between SAP and P3. This is meant to work nowdays, it has been a problem before.
I am sorry to say that I have not heard anyone who likes SAPs planning board.

My knowledge is a little out of date, it was simply horrible when I last saw it. ALL of my clients with SAP, and thats quite a few with huge installations (one has 1500 users of PS and PM modules) have rejected it for planning and scheduling, and have an interface with P3 or P3e.
