Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Based from what I’ve red in creating target plan (from P3 manuals). Pls. check the ff procedures if I’m wrong.

1. Prepare schedule with resources.
2. Open tools menu -> project utilities -> target
3. Enter 4 chars. name.
4. Click OK.

But nothing happens, any suggestions will be highly appreciated. thanks. :)

I can’t get it. Target bar always parallel to the currect bar except they are placed in same position. Please check the following: -
- Have target been assigned in Project overview
- What option been selected in bar format

Hi Guys,

In relation to Pelita’s question, I’ved done copying the project and make it as a target. But when i tried to show the target bar it appears to be not parallel with the current and it shows a long bar. Let say the project starts Jan 2004 and my activity starts May 2004 and end june the target bar shows Jan - June.

Need Help

Thanks,

wilfred

Pelita,
Your method is to assign an Existing project as tartget and/or update the assigned target project by current open project. It is not for creating a project for target from current.

Use Moises’s method, you now have a copy. Then you part is the OK for assign. Or by File - Open - select the current project - click Overview button at bottom left, goto to page Targets, select a project for target assignment.

Hello Kabayan,
You can also this procedure. Go to the ff Menu

TOOLS>>>>PROJECT UTILITIES >>> COPY ( read in the manual how to copy ...)be sure that copy file and orig file on same folder, then you can use this as your Target.
