Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Recently I have been made aware of the latest fad in project planning tools that have been interfaced to a website. The purpose is apparently to show full project visibility.

The way it was sold to me was that once an activity was complete an e-mail would be sent to the next major resource advising them of the task. Now I can see where a project has many sub-contract parties involved this may possibly be useful but for use in many sectors I just dont get it! Purely for no other reason than it is just basic bad project management/co-ordination - call it what you will that a resource is not aware of a task prior to it being required.

ANy comments?
