Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all,

I am importing an .xer file (P5) from our vendor. When i import into our system (P6) the codes (activity, resource) do not come over. The vendor has their codes in an EPS level while we generaly have our codes in the Global level. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

actually Nancy,

This thread got lost. We are busy brainstorming the accreditation issue, then, suddenly out of nowhere you post appear.

I wish this post will disappear from the main thread and re-routed to the proper thread.

Cheers,
Happy Planning and Scheduling

Resource codes are included within a xer-file ("RCATTYPE"). Codes marked as "secure codes" are not exported.

If you’ll create the EPS codes before importing - exactly same spelling, case-sensitive! - the values automatically will be included.
For the resource codes I’ll have to check at work. Did you check, if they are included in the xer-file? Maybe a problem of access rights during export.

Hi Nancy

This should be in the Primavera section - not accreditation.

Best regards
