Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I've Oracle Primavera P6 Professional R16.2

Project WBS contains 10 Major Items (Sites)

Contractor send update, I assign Baseline for compare Schd % against Perf %

the problem is, one of the sites' Performance % Complete Changes after I assign the Baseline, Only one !

the remaining sites and the overall Perf % is the same, no changes, has no problem.

I need to know what happened.

Hi Ahmad AbdRabou

I faced the same problem and this is due to Splitting Activites and resitribution of the Units between the Splitted activites

the Problem also occurs when you change the Baseline buget units compared to the updated budgeted units

to overcome this problem go to the EPS and select the project and then go to settings TAB and in the project settings use the

project for calculating the Earned Value is the PRIMAY'S BASELINE and hence, no such change shall be when assigning the

baseline

EPS>>>>ٍSelect Project >>>>ٍSettings>>>>ٍ User's Primay Baseline

I'll explain the problem in other words,

the contractor submitted an update

I loaded the udpate and checked for current progress %, it's 37.67%

then I loaded the baseline and checked the current progress % again to find that it's changed to 37.75%

what is the reason for that.

a baseline is the planned % and NEVER chnages

the current schedule % complete will change based on progress

for example:

Performance % Complete before assinging baseline is 37.67%

Performance % Complete after assinging baseline is 37.75%

do you know what happened?

I would expect the performance % complete to changed based on what work got done or did not get done. Why would it stay the same that means that you did nothing
