Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Placing Gaps in the Timescale

I frequently have projects that have long gaps in the middle between two very hectic segments.  As always, managers want to see the entire schedule on a single paper width.  So the example below:

Six months straight work, followed by nine months of nothing, followed by one year of work.  Is there any way for me to set the timescale to somehow show a nine month gap as just one or two cell column widths while the rest is set to YEAR/MONTH when we are actually doing work?  Looking for something similar to a drafting break on an engineering drawing but in the timescale.

Sorry if this is a repeat of another forum question.  If so, just link me to it for reference.  Thanks.
