Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

Can anyone advise how I get the Gantt to display equal duration bars the same length ? I have equal duration activities (12 hours) but the Gantt bar for the activity spanning 20:00 to 08:00 is half the size of the activity spanning 08:00 to 20:00. Both activities have the same 24 hour calendar.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Work email is bob.foden@partners.basf.com

Thanks

Bob

Hi Bob,

You'll need to set the lowest tier of your time scale to show units of Hours and a count of 1.  I would also set the corresponding label to None.  Since this essentially wastes the bottom tier, you might need to switch to a 3-tier display.  Once you get what you want, save as a new custom view.  Avoid using the zoom features to control the timescale; instead, directly manipulate the timescale tier units, and adjust the Timescale's Size (i.e. %) property to control the view.

Good luck.
