Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All

Have a look at your PP profile - among the headings is one on "Subscriptions" - it looks like we are going to be asked to pay to use the website sometime soon.

Any thoughts on this development?

Best regards

The most things should be acknowledgeable:

Planning planet (pp.) is an active, especial website because of the transparency of each member of it, no boundaries between each other’s, visiting the PP site become my daily basis.

When PP membership will be paid subscription fees, I think some of the specialty of that will be missed in somehow, the freedom in adding any input will be adjusted and most likely purity of relationship between corporative members will be lost.

There are other suggestion can be a much helpful to make subscriptions fees making a sense:

By adding an optional service depends on the member selection of having some of it, and hereinafter some of:

  1. Providing specific and recommended books based on valuable advice from specialists in pp. crew to pp. member or even tutorials materials.
  2. Providing a seeking help to find job.
  3. Helping in way of build up a professional CV, s.
  4. Providing structured advices based on member demands.
  5. Organizing events overall the world with a professional team of pp such as seminars, trainings …etc.

All above proposed services it will be welcomed if it is payable, but expect of that will not be recommended at all specifically in this times since PP. achieving a big onward steps.

Thanks .

Mai

Hello,

Rafael, thats a good explanation of the issue.  Subscriptions, in this case, refers to subscribing to content email alerts.

When we edit our Accounts, there is also an option under "Messaging & Notification Settings" that allows you to auto-subscribe to your posts on PP, so that you receive an email alert when / if anyone replies to your post.  In addition, on every post in the forum, you will see a "subscribe" or "un-subscribe" to this post link.

We hope this helps...

Hi Rafael

Thanks for the clarification.

The site is in constant development - every now and then I am asked to comment on a new format.

The jobs section is much better now and the forum layout may be improved soon.

Keep in touch.

Mike,

Subscriptions are free; this is a common functionality in other forums. Look at the lower part of your post and you will see an option that reads  “Subscribe to: This post” , this will allow you to keep a list of threads you want to follow, once subscribed you will get e-mails notifying you of posts on your subscriptions, if you no longer want to receive e-mails because the thread became e-mail me frenzy  you can inactivate it but still keep it on the list for your reference.

It is quite an improvement; I believe PP Admin has not provided us with a Gide to this Site because it is still on the works. I perceive true effort to improve navigation of this site and prefer to wait for this guide until fine-tuned to better than what it was before. Improving on a good thing is not an easy task.

Best regards,

Rafael
