Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All;

Shall the recovery or revised program substitute clause 14 programme for future time impact analysis?
Any official laws to return back to for this issue?

Waiting your feedback ..

Thanks
Abdallah

Dear Abdallah,

Thank you for your kind reply. I think that what you want to know in the original question is the following:

Recovery: Complete scope within the original duration
Revised: Complete scope and you might extend the duration

The statement that you have written above clearly states that you need to revise the program and you have to abide by the duration. Hence, it is a recovery schedule.

Of course, if the delays on the project is partially due to the Contractor, then it makes sense that the Contractor askes for time at the early stage and as soon as the event is over. Hence, the duration of the project is extended hopefully, and the project has more time to complete the scope.

With kind regards,

Samer

Dear Samer;

Clause 14 of the contract is

Revised Programme 14.2 If at any time it should appear to the Engineer that the actual progress of the Works does not conform to the programme to which consent has been given under Sub-Clause 14.1, the Contractor shall produce, at the request of the Engineer, a revised programme showing the modifications to such programme necessary to ensure completion of the Works within the Time for Completion.

Thanks

Hi Abdullah

In case recovery or revised programme, under review or not consented still you can use clause 14 programme with revised network logic to fit the changes you have done in recovery or revised programme .

Dear Abdullah,

Can you please type clause 14 in your conditions of contract so that we can read it and evaluate what it is stating. I do not have the old version of FIDIC.

With kind regards,

Samer

If the recovery / revised program is approved from the client , it can substitute the CL14 Program , and can be used for future time claim...
