NEWSFLASH:

INTRODUCTION:

Since the beginning there has been no well-defined career path for project controls disciplines in industry! Project Controls cannot be easily learned on the job, and few companies can offer training or mentoring.

The variability created has been a handicap for both the people trying to perform the roles and companies who are trying to gain advantage out of deploying best practices.

Working in conjunction with Planning Planet we have been able to conceive the first professional body representing the Project Controls discipline - The Guild of Project Controls - The Guild

Planning Planet is hosting us in our infancy and we are launching the Guild in two phases The first phase will allow people to apply for membership without accreditation and the second phase will be the launch of the full accreditation process. The Guild of Project Controls (The Guild or CPG)

The Guild is:

  • Independent, transparent and supported by major employers
  • Not for profit; sensible fees to be used for the good of the membership
  • Founded on pan-industry, professional standards, maintained via an ongoing process of development
  • Independent and in a position to collaborate with employers and professional or educational establishments
  • RUN BY leading Planners & Project Controls PROFESSIONALS
  • RUN FOR Planners & Project Controls PROFESSIONALS

The Guild is:

  • A Centre of Excellence for Contract Administration, Planning & Scheduling, Cost -Estimating, Forensic Analysis & Project Controls
  • Supported by the Global Community and it’s Employers

The Guild is designed to support companies and individuals with:

  • Career Path/Professional development
  • Training
  • Certifications to Prove Competency
  • Mentoring
  • Project Controls Systems Resources
