Project Controller, AMEC Transmission & Delivery, London Underground Power Upgrades - Package 2 Tender

In the role of Project Controller I produced a resource and cost loaded Level 5 tender programme for Package 2 of the London Underground Power Upgrade.

The programme was produced in Primavera P6 and conformed to MPD submission criteria requirements.

I was also asked to represent AMEC regarding the planning of the project to LU at their London headquarters.

SPMM is a Project Management approach designed for EPC Projects, based upon APM guidelines and Best Practice across AMEC.

As Project Controller I worked with a core team of six, and a lead from each Discipline to define the management policies,which incorporate quality at all stages of a contract and develop clear performance indicators for the business and projects.

My background in IT and experience qualified me with a unique and vital insight into the practical implementation of such a system.

Project Controller, AMEC Utilities, London 2012 Olympic Village - Utilities Tender

Working out of the Swindon office as Project Controller, I produced a schedule in Primavera 6 for the utilities bid on the 2012 London Olympic Village. The schedule was resource loaded and my role required me to identify exactly what the client requested, coordinate the efforts of the estimating manager & quantity surveyor to get the data I needed and ensure targets where met. I identified a key inaccuracy with the data provided by the Olympic Delivery Authority, whom upon being informed issued an acknowledgement and a two week extension.

Project Controller, AMEC, Longannet Power Station - FGD

Managing the production of a Level 5 commissioning programme to be integrated into the master delivery programmes, working as Project Controller at the Longannet Power Station, Scotland. Constant communication with the Commissioning Manager as well as daily meetings with the project team allow me to be kept up to date of current progress and able drive the planning teams within the joint venture to implement the solution both accurately and correctly. I also frequently interface with the client in a formal setting.

Working as Project Controller based at the DOW Chemicals EOEG Plant on the Wilton site, I managed the production of a fully resource loaded Level 5 Decommissioning programme with a value of £7million for Process Division. As part of this I am the first AMEC employee to successfully use the PICS database system and Primavera 6 together. This involved using the SDK to automate the integration between MS Access & P6.

Key achievements include: successful management of the Earned Value Management for the Hawk projects to close out; Management of the Risk & Opportunity and Project Management Reports for the Hawk India project; Training & skills development of Project Planners. Reliance on communication and team working skills across functional project streams was a key attribute to perform these duties successfully.
