PlanningPlanet is committed to reducing and controlling unsolicited
commercial e-mail messages, otherwise know as "spam" or "junk mail." Spam messages are a nuisance and intrusion of privacy that can clutter e-mail
accounts to beyond use. Since nobody wants to receive unsolicited e-mail,
PlanningPlanet is taking action to prevent spam messages from being sent in
the first place. In order to succeed, however, PlanningPlanet needs your help.
About Spam
Although PlanningPlanet prevents spam from being sent from the
PlanningPlanet email system, it is impossible to control when a
PlanningPlanet.com account is referenced as either a "drop box" or in a "spoofed"
header.
Spammers often rely on spoofed e-mail addresses and "drop box" strategies to
send unsolicited messages and escape detection. This strategy consists of sending e-mail from an account that allows spam, but using an alternate
address in the "Reply To" message header. This strategy makes it difficult to
track the origins of a spam message and bring it to a stop.
Spammers will often include a statement in the body of the message claiming
that the law sanctions spam as long as there is a "remove from list" address in
the spam e-mail. Unfortunately, this address is usually used as a means of
confirming an e-mail account and will ultimately generate more spam for the
recipient. Therefore, if you receive spam from a source that you do not
recognize, do not reply to the message to request removal.
Our Commitment
In order to fight spoofing and drop boxes, we are asking you to help by
reporting any spam message to PlanningPlanet.com immediately by using the form
linked to this page. When spam is reported, PlanningPlanet will investigate the
origins of the message and take action. Any email account found to be a drop-box for spam messages will be canceled immediately.
Regrettably, there is no complete solution to preventing spam messages.
Although PlanningPlanet is committed to removing spam from its
email system, there is no way to stop spammers from referencing
PlanningPlanet.com email accounts. Therefore, it is crucial that we have your help. With your
help, PlanningPlanet can track spammers and make PlanningPlanet
email an inhospitable place for them.
Action
If you receive a spam message using PlanningPlanet.com email as a "drop box"
or spoofing address, you should alert PlanningPlanet immediately. Please
report these spammers by using our "Anti-Spam Mail Report
Area". PlanningPlanet.com will investigate the account and take action.
